About Charmaine
Charmaine Dooley
EXECUTIVE SPEAKING COACH
The training I received as a classical singer, underpinned by study of Speech Delivery and Content, is the basis for my teaching method. I am also a qualified teacher and am accredited with several bodies (see Qualifications below).

I can assist you in resolving any issues you have with performance, from Stage Fright to Accent Reduction. With my technical and practical help you will learn to deliver profoundly authentic, persuasive and memorable speeches, confidently taking humble ownership of the stage.
The initial consultation takes between 60-90 minutes, after which I tend to cluster schedule the first three or four sessions, i.e. Ideally a session every 4-5 days. Each session lasts 60 minutes and I then provide a written synopsis of the session and outline exercises (if relevant) that should be practised. Apart from this, I am available for a 30-minute video call each week, should you have queries, require clarification, or need reiteration of something covered in the previous session(s). I can also be reached by email or phone, with a 24-hour maximum response time.

TRAINING
Charmaine trained as a classical singer, in the Bel Canto tradition at both Trinity College of Music and The RCM with both Wendy Eathorne and Iris dell’Aqua. Her interest in German Lieder took her to Germany on a DAAD Scholarship, where she was given masterclasses and lessons by a raft of eminent musicians including Fischer-Dieskau, Schwarzkopf and Hartmut Höll, with the emphasis on interpretation and realisation.
Charmaine has performed in the opera at Sadler’s Wells,The Coliseum and Glyndebourne as well as making frequent appearances as a soloist at Wigmore Hall, St John’s Smith Square and St Martin in the Fields.
